Barwon Valley Golf Course
In 2010 Davey Shearer were commisioned by Vic Roads to solve a potentially serious safety problem on the Barwon Valley golf course in Geelong. A proposed new bypass highway was to be built adjacent to the golf course and this was going to put future road users in danger from errant shots on the golf course- especially hole 14. In order to make the situation safe, 3 holes had to be realigned and rebuilt. These were holes 14, 15 and 16.
The new holes are now regarded by members and the public as the best on the course.
