Ben has just returned from 2 weeks in China where he firstly visted Shanghai, followed by a new 27 hole project in Xiangyang (Hubei Province). The site is the best he’s seen in some time – and there are no mountains! From there he headed to Beijing for the 2014 Golf Show and for Toro’s 100th anniversary dinner, where he caught up with fellow architects from around the world. Next was Fuzhou (Fujian Province), before returning to Shanghai. On Saturday 22nd, Ben was a guest lecturer at Tongji University where he discussed golf course design and his views on the state of golf in China. He returns to China late next week.
