Mornington Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs on the Mornington Peninsula and offers a nineteen hole course for players of all ages and abilities. The course is set high along the Mornington cliff line, with spectacular views across the bay to the Melbourne city skyline.
A considerable amount of work has been done to improve the golf course since 2016, when Contour Golf (with Darius Oliver) was appointed to prepare a comprehensive course Masterplan. This document provided the Board and members with a strategic overview of all improvements to the course moving forward.
In 2017, Stage 1 of the Masterplan was the construction of a magnificent new Par 3, perched on the cliffs of Port Phillip Bay. In 2019, Stage 2 involved building three new greens - the 9th, 18th and a practice putting green next to the clubhouse. Stage 3 involved changes to the 6th and 7th holes, both of which were open for play in Spring 2022. In 2025, the 10th hole, a downhill par 3, was completely rebuilt and in late 2026, construction will commence on a new driving range.
