Regarded as one of Tasmania's premier and most picturesque courses, the golf course at Tasmania Golf Club is bounded by water on three sides and offers spectacular views from the Bluff across Barilla Bay. The Club is located 15 minutes from the centre of Hobart and two minutes from Hobart International Airport.

The golf course itself is renowned for its famous par 5 3rd hole, which has been favourably compared to the notorious 18th hole at California's Pebble Beach Links. 

Contour Golf was appointed by the Tasmanian government in 2019 to consider the impacts on the golf course of the State Government's proposed widening of the Tasman Highway.  We have detailed changes for an improved layout. In June 2022, Tasmania Golf Club appointed Ben Davey as their ongoing Course Architect and a Masterplan was completed in 2023.  In 2024, reconstruction of the par 3, 17th hole was completed and is now open for play. A major reconstruction of the 5th hole is due to commence in early 2027.
